I have to keep reminding myself..........

That its not always what the metal devil says but I need to also listen to my body. I have increased my exercise a lot taking 10 mile hikes and 6 mile walks at least 5 days a week and at weigh in today the metal devil said I was up .4lbs. I realize thats not a huge gain but with all the exercise plus staying on plan I thought for sure there would be a loss. I do feel a huge difference in my pants and will need to go down a pants size again therefore I do know I am building muscle. Like the experts say muscle weighs more than fat so hopefully that is causing my weight gain and I will see some results of my hard work by next weigh in. I will stay positive and continue on as I have been. Hope everyone is having a great week and thanks for your support it does help a lot. :)

Oh I'm TOTALLY going through this right now!!! and no matter what, I can't get myself to see how I gained 2 lbs worth of muscle over the course of the week...Whatever, we'll see what the official verdict is on saturday! But keep reminding yourself that if you stick w/ exercise, the scale will eventually catch up!

You will see that loss next week. It is so funny what exercise does to our "scale weight". Drink lots of water the day before WI and if you can, plan it out so you don't work out the day before (your body will not retain as much water that way)!! Good luck!

Keep in mind that the muscle you are building will also help you to burn fat more quickly. Temporary gain - pay attention to thos measurements in these times. WOW on the 10K. My goal is just to quick walk 30 mins 3 times this week while holding in those ab muscles.

I like the term "metal devil" which I'll have to see tomorrow. You've done great on your exercise. I'm sure it will even out soon.

Holy **** on the exercise!! WAY TO GO!! :)

I bet your gaining muscle, because you must feel leaner. That's a lot of hiking.

Keep it, all of you are my inspiration :)

Are you my MN reader? I look at my sitemeter traffic regularly and always see your location. HI! I love when I can do stuff for other people and especially make her birthday in the states for the first time, that much more special. Thanks for your comment and I think we will have a blast tonight. What are your favorites from CF?

WOW - you are amazing. Way to go on the exercise department. Have you thought about adjusting your food intake because it sounds like you are doing a ton of exercise - maybe your body needs more fuel??

Don't sweat the small gain. I know when I started being more active, I actually gained weight as opposed to losing, and I was totally frustrated. Make sure your eating enough now that your exercising, because that was my problem...I wasn't eating enough, go figure.
